BON IS PAGE 721 <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />J <br />FEBRUARY 4, 2002 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present <br />were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Nathan E Paschal, and John L Sauls. Commissioner Robert T. Reives was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Commissioner Chad Adams delivered the invocation and led the pledge of <br />allegiance. <br />The board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Adams moved to <br />approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman riled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted of <br />the following items: <br />• Minutes of the January 22, 2002 regular meeting <br />• Disposal of three vans from the County of Lee Transit System <br />• Acceptance of a $10,000 grant for the Lee County Health Department <br />• Resolution in support of present control system for Alcoholic Beverage <br />Control (copy attached) <br />• Proposal between the County of Lee and Dixon Odom PLLC for consulting <br />services with regards to Sales Tax Refund Claims (copy attached) <br />• Offer from Ruble Communications to purchase old radios from the County <br />of Lee Transit System <br />• Capital Project Ordinance for the new Animal Control Shelter (copy <br />attached) <br />
