eco~ 19 P.,GE 68`' <br />Capt. Estes told the Board that 5200,100 was approved in the FY 2003-04 budget for the <br />purchase of these vehicles. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the bid from <br />Capital Ford in Raleigh for a total of $189,552 to purchase the requested vehicles. Upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lcnmmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an updated and revised Emergency Preparedness R <br />Response Guideline for the Emergency Management Office. Emergency Management <br />Director Jim Groves told the Board that lie had updated and revised the guidelines for <br />staff and elected officials and the document would be used as a guideline to advise <br />personnel of actions that should be taken to be prepared if emergency or disaster <br />situations should occur. Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the updated and <br />revised Emergency Preparedness R Response Guideline for the Emergency Management <br />Office. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Parks and Recreation Director John Payne gave the Board an update on the <br />proposed Tramway Road Park that is scheduled to be built in different phases nest to the <br />new high school. A 7:00 o'clock p.m. public hearing has been advertised for this date for <br />Mr. Payne to submit park plans to the public and ask for comments. Mr. Payne wished to <br />update the Board on the project prior to the public hearing and see if they had any <br />questions concerning the project. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered an addendum to the Joint Use Agreement with the Lee <br />County Schools as it relates to the new Tramway Road Park. Parks and Recreation <br />Director John Payne told the Board that language had been added stating that the County <br />of Lee will own and maintain the park property and the Lee County Schools will have <br />first priority of all fields during sports season. After sonic discussion, Commissioner <br />Paschal moved to approve the revised Joint Use Agreement with the Lee County Schools. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Capital Project Budget Ordinance for the Tramway Road <br />Park. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that the budget ordinance was <br />8 <br />
