BnK 9 Pac= 68'7
Mrs. Thompson outlined the second public that involved a rezoning petition by
applicant James Lucas and property owners Charles and Bernice Branch to rezone
property located at 2679 and 2719 Valley Road from Residential Agricultural
Conditional Use District to Residential Agricultural District. Mrs. Thompson told the
Board that in January 1992, Mr. Charles Branch's property was rezoned from Residential
Restricted District to Residential Agricultural Conditional Use District for the placement
of a singlewide manufactured home to be located on the lot with an existing house. Mr.
and Mrs. Branch would like the 3.25 acres of land rezoned so their daughter and son-in-
law can build a house and move the manufactured home.
Mr. Charles Branch of 2679 Valley Road and James Lucas of 2719 Valley Road
spoke in favor of the rezoning request.
No one present spoke in opposition to the request.
Mrs. Thompson outline the third and final rezoning petition by applicant John
Daniel (for property owner Harvey Bouldin.) Mrs. Thompson told both Boards' that the
property is located on the northeast side of Rocky Folic Church Road near the intersection
of U.S. 91 (.Jefferson Davis Highway) and US #l, 15-501 (White Hill Road) and consists
of three lots on approximately 4.50 acres of land.
John Daniel of 2250 Cape Jasmine Drive spoke in favor of the rezoning request.
No one present spoke in opposition to the request.
Joe Evans of 4803 Goldmine Road had questions and concerns as to what would
be placed on the property, as lie did not wish to see a "junk yard" in the area.
Chairman Hineks closed the public hearings and recessed the meeting while the
Planning Board deliberated on the above matters.
After the Planning Board had completed deliberation on various matters,
Commissioner Adams moved to approve the following, along with copies that are
attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof:
(1) Recommendation of the Planning Board to approve amendments to the Lee
County Zoning Ordinance, Sections 3 and 6 related to "Signs,"
(2) Recommendation of the Planning Board to approve amendments to the Lee
County Zoning Ordinance, Article IV, Interpretation of Words and Terms,
(3) Recommendation of the Planning Board to approve the rezoning petition by
James Lucas to rezone property located at 2679 and 2719 Valley Road to
Residential Agricultural Conditional Use District,
(4) Recommendation of the Planning Board to approve the rezoning petition by
John Daniel (for Harvey Bouldin) to rezone 4.50 acres of land at 15 and 73
Rocky Fork Church Road to Highway Commercial District,
13
