0 ei',N 19 pzp 68 0 <br />After completing business in the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 <br />meeting, Chairman Hincks moved to go out of the Lee County Water and Sewer District <br />No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the regular <br />meeting resumed. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter gave the Board an update on the recent sale of <br />bonds to construct a new high school. <br />County Manager William Cowan asked that the Board allow Tax Administrator <br />Kep Kepley to work part-time (temporarily) for the Scotland County Tax Office (nights <br />and weekends) since lie is still living in that county. Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />allow Mr. Kepley to work the part-time position in Scotland County. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the meeting until 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />At 7:00 o'clock p.m., Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order at the old Lee <br />County Courthouse to conduct advertised joint public hearings with the Planning Board. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioners Nathan E. Paschal and Robert <br />T. Reives were absent. <br />Chainnan Hincks opened the public hearings. <br />Parks and Recreation Director John Payne presented maps showing the location <br />of the proposed Tramway Road Park that will be constructed next to the new high school. <br />He stated that Lee County has applied for a PARTF grant to offset some of the <br />construction cost and one of the requirements of the grant was to hold a public hearing. <br />No one in attendance spoke in favor of or in opposition to the proposed park. <br />Bill Norris of 2112 Tramway Road told Mr. Payne that the Tramway Road <br />community owned a comnnmity building that was not being used at the corner of <br />Tramway Road and Fire Tower Road and they were willing to donate the building to the <br />County if needed. <br />
