After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives moved that Commissioner Jerry Lemmond be elected as the Lee <br />County voting delegate for the NACo conference. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Ave: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to accept the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation <br />Director John Payne to appoint Michael Moore as the second alternate on the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks discussed with the Board a committee he wished to organize <br />that will prepare and advertise for the County Manager's position. He appointed <br />Commissioner Bert Matthews and Commissioner Amy Stevens to work on the <br />advertisement. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the appointment by <br />Chairman Hincks for the two-person committee. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, I-lincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the revular meeting of the board to go into the Lee <br />County Water and Sewer District No. I meeting.
