BOOK 19 Fac <br />• Approval to fill vacant Social Worker II position in the Adult Services <br />Unit of Social Services <br />• Approval to fill vacant Physician Extender II position at the Health <br />Department <br />• Acceptance of 535,000 from the Sheriff's Department (to the Health <br />Department) forjail medical services <br />• Approval of 5500 for continuing education for Health Director Mike <br />Hanes <br />■ Approval of 58,118.00 in E-911 funds to purchase software for the <br />Specialty Rescue Team (SRT) <br />■ Acceptance of two memorial donations totaling $150 to the THANKS <br />Mentoring Program at Youth & Family Services <br />• Classification additions for Administrative Assistant position and <br />Personnel Technician 11 position to the Lee County Classification Pay Plan <br />• Resolution of appreciation for efforts exhibited at the Grace Chapel <br />Church fire on October 7, 2003 (copy attached) <br />Upon a result, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hineks, Lenmiond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lenunoud read the resolution of appreciation for efforts exhibited <br />at the Grace Chapel Church fire on October 7, 2003, and presented framed resolutions to <br />Dr. Rudy Holland, Pastor of Grace Chapel, and Scott Holt, Chief of the Tramway <br />Volunteer Fire Department. Dr. Holland made the following statement, "On behalf of <br />Grace Chapel Christian Church, I wish to express our appreciation to the firemen and all <br />emergency service personnel who assisted in fighting the fire that destroyed our church <br />sanctuary on October 7, 2003. The gallant effort to contain the fire, save the contents of <br />the building, and to comfort the parishioners during this time, will never be forgotten. <br />Our church family has been overwhelmed by the compassionate concern of the entire <br />community and Grace Chapel will be better because of this tragedy. The response of this <br />commnmity, the leaders in this community, and the churches will serve to give Grace <br />Chapel a renewed determination, to serve the citizens and leaders of Sanford and Lee <br />County. Thank-you, and may God continue to bless our community." <br />The Board considered the appointment of a new Tax Administrator. <br />Commissioner Stevens moved to appoint Mr. Clyde Kepley to a 4-year term as Lee <br />County Tax Administrator at an annual salary of 564,914 (Grade 78 Step 10), effective <br />December 1, 2003, and accept his years of local government service for the purpose of <br />benefits accountability with Lee County.
