0 0 <br />Bf0n i9 PACE 538 <br />The Board considered the purchase of CAD software for the volunteer fire <br />departments. Commissioner Stevens moved that the Board approve the purchase, from <br />E-911 funds, of CAD software to be used for mutual aid for volunteer fire departments at <br />an approximate cost of $2,500. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved that the Board submit a letter to the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation asking that they conduct a traffic study at the intersection <br />of 15-501 and #1, South. He stated that several individuals had contacted him about,not <br />being able to make the left turn onto #1 from 15-501 (coming from Carthage) in the <br />mornings due to heavy traffic coming off Rocky Fork Church Road. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to go into closed session to consider the follow <br />matters: <br />• Consider the location of two new businesses in Lee County <br />• Consider the acquisition of a vacant lot on T-lawkins Avenue next <br />to the Lee County Library <br />• Consider personnel action that involves an employee of the Board <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was <br />in closed session. After completing business in closed session, Commissioner Matthews <br />moved to go out of closed session. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />6 <br />
