EGOK 19 PACE 487 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />AUGUST 18, 2003 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 3:00 o'clock p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Atny L. Stevens <br />J Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order and the following business was <br />transacted. <br />Commissioner Paschal delivered the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Matthews asked <br />® that the Board discuss a minimum housing code for the county. County Manager <br />William Cowan asked that the Board delete item IV-E.4 from the agenda (proposed <br />policy/fees for Jail Health and budget amendment). Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />approve the agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmnond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes oftheJuly 21,2003regularmeeting <br />• Minutes of the July 29, 2003 Ad Hoc Water Committee meeting <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for July 2003 (copy attached) <br />• Resolution of appreciation to employees of the Sheriff's Department (copy <br />attached) <br />Resolution for Fall 2003 "Litter Sweep" Roadside Cleanup (copy <br />attached) <br />• Application for State Aid to Public Libraries for FY 2003-2004 (copy <br />attached) <br />® • Annual report and license agreement for MUNIS software <br />
