Commissioner Lemmond stated that he <br />would be attending and would be glad to be the voting delegate. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved that Commissioner Lemmond be the Lee County voting delegate for the <br />NCACC annual conference. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Adams <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Parks & Recreation Commission. At <br />the last meeting, Maxey Such was reappointed to serve another three term on this <br />Commission. Since his reappointment, Mr. Such has decided that he does not wish to <br />serve again. Commissioner Paschal moved that Mark Newman be moved from the first <br />alternate position to serve in Mr. Such's position and Telesford Aguirre be moved from <br />second alternate to first alternate. Applications are to be accepted for the second alternate <br />position. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Adams <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered vacancies on the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention <br />Council. Youth Services Director Randell Woodruff recommended that Claretta Johnson <br />and Judge Jim Love be re-appointed to the mandated positions and Tyler Lowry be <br />appointed as the youth representative. Commissioner Lemmond moved to accept the <br />recommendation of Mr. Woodruff. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Adams <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews asked that the Board do a "letter of praise" for four <br />individuals from the Sheriff's Department concerning a recent break-in in the County. <br />6 <br />
