0 @ <br />10 ( 19 Faso r:58 <br />After completing business in the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 <br />meeting, Commissioner Adams moved to go out of the Lee County Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The meeting resumed at 5:30 p.m. at the McSwain Extension Education & <br />Agriculture Center at 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford, North Carolina, where the <br />Cooperative Extension staff served dinner to the Commissioners and presented <br />informative information concerning programs administrated from their office. <br />At 7:00 o'clock p.m. the board met with members of the Lee County Planning <br />Board for two advertised public hearings. Chairman Hincks called the joint public <br />hearings to order. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Jerry M. Lenunond, Bertha L. Matthews, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioners Nathan <br />E. Paschal and Robert T. Reives were absent. <br />Commissioner Stevens introduced Boy Scout Troop 917. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the proposed changes to amendments to the <br />Lee County Zoning Ordinance for Table of Area and Yard Requirements, which would <br />add minimum building yard regulations. No one present spoke in favor of or in <br />opposition to the proposed amendment. <br />Ms. Thompson outlined the second hearing for a petition by Mr. Howard C. Kelly <br />of 1816 Rice Road to rezone approximately one acre of land located at 1808 Rice Road <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial Conditional Use District. <br />Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee swore in Ms. Thompson, Mr. Howard Kelly, and Mr. Phil <br />Kelly prior to presentation of the petition. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition request: <br />Mr. Hoard Kelly, 1816 Rice Road <br />Mr. Phil Kelly, 305 Wilson Road <br />Mr. Danny Bost of 1805 Rice Road spoke after the Clerk swore him in <br />concerning signage if the petition is approved. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the petition request. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />7 <br />
