a 0 <br />aGol; <br />i9 mP 61 <br />PR0CI,At,N,lATI0N <br />NATIONAL COUNTY GOVIERNMENT WEEK <br />APRIL 6-12, 2003 <br />WFIEREAS, Lee County cares for kids and families and provides critical services <br />to the children and families that live in our conmnmity; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County provides public safety, educational development, <br />immunizations to keep kids healthy, safe parks for children to play in, and clean <br />environments and livable communities in which to groNv; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County provides needed elderly services for grandmothers and <br />grandfathers and healthcare to the disablctl and the needy; and <br />WHEREAS, when natural or man-made disaster strikes, Lee County Emergency <br />!Management and law enforcement keep children and their families safe and informed <br />until order an be restored; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County provides many services that make America's <br />communities stronger, safer places to live and raise families; and <br />NVIIEIZVAS, Lee County olficials and employees use their role as local leaders to <br />encourage better children's health, increase early childhood development and promote <br />safe and effective parenting strategies, and <br />1V'11IRE;\S, count;' governments have a long history of caring and providing for <br />the nation's children, and providing solutions that bring communities together. <br />N'OW', THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners proclaims the week of April 6-12, 2003, as National County Government <br />Week. <br />Herbert A.
