i <br />B00 19 FACE 184 <br />Commissioner Reives moved that the Lee County Board of Commissioners send a <br />resolution to the North Carolina Department of "Transportation opposing the placement of <br />a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Courtland Drive and Harkey Road, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager William Cowan discussed with the board the upcoming Board <br />Retreat. After some discussion, the board agreed to hold a Planning Retreat at the <br />McSwain Extension Agricultural Center on Friday, March 28, 2003. <br />The board held two public hearings that had been advertised for this date and time <br />concerning economic development projects with the Lee County Economic Development <br />Corporation. Chairman Hincks opened the first public hearing for American Cyanamid <br />Company. <br />Economic Development Director Bob Heuts outlined the project and spoke in favor of <br />the project. No one present spoke in opposition to the project. Chairman Hincks closed <br />the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve an Agreement Regarding Incentive <br />Funds for the American Cyanamid Company Project, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No one present spoke in opposition to the project. Chairman Hincks closed <br />the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve an Agreement Regarding Incentive <br />Funk for the Saiden Technologies, Inc., a copy of which is attached to these minutes and <br />'by this reference made a part hereof.
