0 aoo, 19 PALE 169 <br />MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />*:k****************;,,A:*********** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />FEBRUARY 3, 2003 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillerest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina on said date. <br />Commissioners present were N~7. Chad Adams, Herber( A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />J Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Commissioner Adams delivered the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The board considered additional agenda items. Chairman Hincks asked that the <br />Manager's Report be presented prior to the Closed Session. Commissioner Lemmond <br />noted a correction to the Minutes from the January 21, 2003 meeting. Commissioner <br />Adams moved to approve the agenda with the above changes. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes from the January 21, 2003 regular meeting <br />• Governor's Crime Commission 2003 Pre-Application Grant for Youth <br />Services <br />• Social Services Work First Modification Plan for 2002-2003 <br />• Donations fi'om First Calvary Baptist Church (5100) and 20 Bibles from <br />Dave and Carol Schneider for the Hillerest Youth Shelter Eagles Spiritual <br />Development Group <br />• Approval to fill vacant Social Worker II position in Social Services <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
