K L IacF 15 <br />The board considered appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review. <br />Tax Administrator Roger Kelley told the board that the following members had agreed to <br />serve another term: <br />Albert Adcock <br />Max Matthews <br />Angela Martin McLeod <br />Jack McNeill <br />Johnny Burns <br />Herman Morris <br />Mr. Kelley told the board that Jack Campbell would not be able to serve due to heath <br />problems. <br />Commissioner Matthews asked that the board allow her to abstain from voting <br />due to her husband being one of the proposed members for the Board of Equalization and <br />Review. Commissioner Reives moved to allow Commissioner Matthews to abstain from <br />voting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows <br />Aye: Adams, Flincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to approve the following appointments to the Board of <br />Equalization and Review: <br />Albert Adcock. Chairman <br />Max Matthews, Vice Chairman <br />Angela Martin McLeod <br />Jack McNeill <br />Johnny Burns <br />Herman Morris, First Alternate <br />The motion also included the appointment of a second alternate to be considered at the <br />next meeting on February 3, 2003. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Abstained: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered the purchase of the Godfrey and McKinney properties on <br />Tramway Road. Dr. Barry Aycock, Superintendent of the Lee County Board of <br />Education submitted a letter to County Manager William Cowan telling him that the <br />5 <br />
