~~o.;9 ~acF g53 <br />Mrs. Thompson updated the board on Wake County's Subdivision regulations for <br />private streets that included the following: <br />• Wake County does not allow lots to be created on easements. <br />• lVlioor subdivisions may be up to three (3) lots with access to a private <br />road or six (6) lots fronting an existing public street that does not involve <br />the extension of any new public road or extension of public sewerage or <br />water lines <br />• Private roads must meet design and construction standards which include <br />a right-of-way width of thirty (30) feet, a minimum thickness of base <br />course materials and the recordation of a road maintenance agreement <br />which provides for future maintenance of such road <br />• Each lot must front on a public or private road before a building permit is <br />issued for development purposes <br />• Does not issue building permits for lots created in court ordered surveys <br />unless all zoning and subdivision requirements are met <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />The board considered bids for the re-roofing of the Heins Education Building. <br />Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the board that he had received the following bids <br />for a new roof for the Heins Education Building: <br />T. R. Driscoll, Inc. S56,982 <br />Randleman, NC <br />McRae Roofing S49,350 <br />Asheboro, NC <br />B.1. R. S. $49,647 <br />Greensboro, NC <br />Mr. Cole recommended that the board approve the low bid of $49,350 from McRae <br />Roofing. After sonic discussion, Commissioner Lemmond moved to accept the low bid <br />of $49,350 from McRae Roofing. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board heard a report from Tax Administrator Roger Kelley concerning the <br />revaluation process. Chairman Flincks appointed a committee of Commissioner Amy <br />Stevens, Commissioner Bert \9athews, and County Manager William Cowan to work <br />with Tax Administrator Roger Kelley on resolving some of the revaluation problems and <br />assisting with getting the process back on track. <br />4 <br />
