LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />BUDGET WORK SESSION <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JUNE 5, 2017 <br />The Budget Work Session of the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 5 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, First Floor, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners <br />present when the work session was called to order was Amy M. Dalrymple, Kevin C. Dodson, Dr. Andre <br />Knecht, Larry "Doc" Oldham, Cameron W. Sharpe, Timothy S. Sloan, and Robert T. Reives. Staff in <br />attendance included County Manager John Crumpton, Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa <br />Minter, County Attorney Whitney Parrish, Clerk to the Board Jennifer Gamble, and Management Intern <br />Michael Silverman. <br />Chair Dalrymple called the work session to order. <br />County Attorney Whitney Parrish stated that in October 2014, Lee County executed a contract <br />for economic development services with the Sanford -Lee County Partnership for Prosperity. Since <br />2014, the County has continued to fund the Sanford -Lee County Partnership for Prosperity for these <br />services. The organization later started doing business under the name of the Sanford Area Growth <br />Alliance. Ms. Parrish proceeded to review the contract with the Board and discussed proposed <br />recommendations. No action was taken. <br />follows: Commissioner Reives moved to adjourn the Work Session. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />p.m. The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:55 <br />ATTEST:- -- <br />Board <br />Amy M.
