A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE TARPO PROJECT LIST DEVELOPED FOR <br />CONSIDERATION IN NCDOT PRIORITIZATION 5.0 <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee is a member of the Triangle Area Rural Planning <br />Organization, which is responsible for regional transportation planning activities in Lee and <br />Moore Counties and portions of Orange and Chatham Counties; and, <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has established the <br />Prioritization 5.0 process to identify, score, and select transportation projects for funding in the <br />2020-2029 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has given the Triangle <br />Area Rural Planning Organization the authority to select projects to be submitted for funding <br />consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, the Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization has established a <br />Prioritization Subcommittee to develop a draft list of projects to be submitted for Prioritization <br />5.0; and <br />WHEREAS, the Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization has requested endorsement <br />of this draft project list by its local government partners in the region; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee recognizes that any non -highway projects submitted <br />through this process will require a local funding match and local project administration from the <br />sponsoring local government or agency; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee has given due consideration to the draft list of projects <br />recommended by the Prioritization Subcommittee; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee considers the Kelly Drive Project as its first priority; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />that the Board hereby endorses the draft Prioritization 5.0 list of new projects as developed by <br />the Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization Prioritization Subcommittee. <br />Dated this the 19th day of June, 2017 ^ <br />Amy M.
