BU09 23 PAGE 768 LEE COUNTY Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow REGULAR MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 106 HILLCREST DRIVE SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 NOVEMBER 1. 2010 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, Richard B. Hayes, James C. Kelly, Larry "Doc' Oldham, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Linda A. Shook. Chairman Hayes called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. The pledge of allegiance was recited. The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton asked the Board to approve, on the Consent Agenda, a donation from Patriot Outfitters for 60 heavy - duty body armor plates to the Lee County Sheriff's Department. With no other changes made, Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Dalrymple moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following items: • Minutes from the October 18, 2010 regular meeting; • Minutes from the October 18, 2010 closed session meeting; • Proclamation to proclaim November 13, 2010 as "North Carolina Symphony Day' in Lee County (copy attached); • Purchase of the following equipment for the Sheriff's Office 1. Thermal imaging camera from Fire Connections, Inc., Rocky Mt., at a cost of $8,640.00 2. Two body armor vests from American Police Distributors, Greensboro, at a cost of $579.00 each
