BU09 23 PAGE 768 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />NOVEMBER 1. 2010 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, <br />Richard B. Hayes, James C. Kelly, Larry "Doc' Oldham, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and <br />Linda A. Shook. <br />Chairman Hayes called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />asked the Board to approve, on the Consent Agenda, a donation from Patriot Outfitters for 60 heavy - <br />duty body armor plates to the Lee County Sheriff's Department. With no other changes made, <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Dalrymple moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the <br />following items: <br />• Minutes from the October 18, 2010 regular meeting; <br />• Minutes from the October 18, 2010 closed session meeting; <br />• Proclamation to proclaim November 13, 2010 as "North Carolina Symphony Day' in <br />Lee County (copy attached); <br />• Purchase of the following equipment for the Sheriff's Office <br />1. Thermal imaging camera from Fire Connections, Inc., Rocky Mt., at a cost <br />of $8,640.00 <br />2. Two body armor vests from American Police Distributors, Greensboro, at <br />a cost of $579.00 each <br />
