Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board the City of Sanford had recently revised their water policy concerning late payments. Mr. Cole recommended to the Board the Water District revise their policy to reflect this same change. Commissioner Mansfield moved to approve the following revision: Bills are due on the 15" of each month by 5:00 p.m. Late notices will be mailed to all accounts that remain unpaid as of 5:00 p.m. on the 15"'. Bills that are not paid in full by 5:00 p.m. on the 20°i of the same month shall become subject to disconnection of service and will be accessed a late fee of $20.00. This fee will be accessed whether or not the service is physically disconnected. If the customer request a reconnection of service after 5:00 p.m., an additional fee of $25.00 will be charged to the account. This account must then be paid in full by 10:00 a.m. the next business day or service will again be disconnected. If the 201" falls on a week-end, an extra day will be allowed on the late charge. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Wicker Nay: None The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Water and Sewer District No. 1, Commissioner Mansfield moved to adjourn the Water and Sewer District meeting.
