eoo~ 16 ~~:c.- 5,99 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED <br />MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF SANFORD <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to this meeting the form of a proposed <br />contract between the City of Sanford and Lee County (the "County") for the maintenance <br />of the Cumnock water line; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board deems it in the best interest of the County to authorize the <br />execution of the proposed contract; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County as follows: <br />Section 1: The Maintenance Agreement, in the form submitted to this <br />meeting, is hereby approved and the Chairman or Vice-Chairman is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute and deliver, and the Clerk to the Board is hereby authorized and <br />directed to attest and acknowledge, for and in behalf of the County the Maintenance <br />Agreement with the City of Sanford substantially in such form and with such necessary <br />and appropriate variations, omissions, and insertions as may be approved by the Chairman <br />or Vice-Chairman. <br />Section 2: That a copy of the proposed agreement presented to this <br />meeting be attached to the minutes of this meeting and such document is incorporated in <br />this resolution by this reference thereto. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution authorizing the borrowing of $250,000 by a <br />bond anticipation note. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained the resolution to the <br />Board and answered questions. Commissioner Moretz presented the following resolution <br />and moved that it be adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the bond order hereinafter described has taken effect and the Board <br />of Commissioners of the County of Lee, sitting as the governing body of Lee County <br />Water and Sewer District No. 1 (the "Issuer"), desires to borrow money for the purpose <br />for which bonds are authorized to be issued by said bond order in anticipation of the <br />receipt of the proceeds of the sale of said bonds as hereinafter provided; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />3 <br />
