Boaz 15 Pea 974 0l 1 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF LEE COUNTY WATER AND.SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * MARCH 20, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners' present were Jimmie J M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; J. Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. Mr. F. Hubert Garner, Chairman, presided and Mrs. Gaynell M. Beal, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the meeting. The Board considered the minutes from the special called February 20, 1995, meeting. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a "cap" amount for a legal service agreement for the Lee County Water District. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained to the Board that the Rural Economic & Community Development Services has notified our office that a "cap" must be placed on fees for services on the Legal Service Agreement for the Lee County Water District. A "cap" of "not to exceed $26,000 per year" has been added to the agreement. After some discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to accept a "cap" not to exceed $26,000.00 per year to the Legal Service Agreement for the Lee County Water District No. 1. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. 1
