o?0 <br />• SCOPE OF WORK <br />1. The Contractor will collect, identify, sort, package and transport all the household <br />hazardous wastes (HHW) collected at the event. Waste will be transported to a <br />permitted facility or facilities for final recycling, treatment or disposal. The <br />following items are considered HHW under this contract: <br />Paint and paint thinners <br />Furniture strippers and finishing products; oven cleaners, drain cleaners <br />Solvents and degreasers <br />Wood preservatives, furniture polishes and waxes <br />Swimming pool chemicals <br />Cleaners; including rug and upholstery, bathroom cleaners, all purpose <br />cleaners <br />Used motor oil <br />Antifreeze, gasoline, hydraulic, transmission and brake fluid <br />2. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides will be collected, segregated <br />and polybagged (not lab packed) by the Contractor for disposal by North Carolina <br />Department of Agriculture (NCDA) at a later date. Contractor will be required to <br />transport said wastes from collection site to secure Lee County facility in <br />preparation of disposal by NCDA. <br />3. The following items are not included as HHW and shall not be collected by the <br />contractor: <br />Radioactive materials <br />Infectious or biological wastes <br />Explosives/shock sensitive materials, organic peroxides <br />PCB's <br />4. The following items and/or services shall be provided by Lee County and should <br />not be included in proposal price. <br />General trash dumpster/truck for non-hazardous waste and trash <br />Container for waste tires and lead acid batteries <br />3 Advertising for the one-day event <br />Security during the one-day event <br />Traffic Control <br />Site Selection <br />C.I <br />2 <br />
