iiu!~(~ P GE `r <br />MINUTES OF TI-11- REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />DECEMBER 13. 2004 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center. 106 Hillcrest Drive. Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were W. Chad Adams. Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. I-lineks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Nathan E. Paschal. Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />J County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered changes and additions to the agenda. Chairman Hincks <br />asked that the Board permit Social Services Director Brenda Potts to fill a vacant <br />Processing Assistant III position in the Family and Children Services Unit. Mr. I-lineks <br />also asked that the Board discuss holding a Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting later <br />in the week. Commissioner Reives asked that the Board discuss a Special Use Permit for <br />Mr. and Mrs. David Hardy. Commissioner Adams moved that the above additions be <br />added to the agenda. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond. Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the following consent agenda items <br />as amended: <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for November 2004 (copy attached) <br />• Grant request between Youth and Family Services and the Department of <br />Social Services for the Family-Centered Casework Program <br />• Joint Resolution between the City of Sanford. Town of Broadway and <br />County of Lee in support of improvements to the intersection of US 421. <br />NC 87, and Wilson Road (copy attached) <br />• Request from Senior Services to fill Transportation Specialist and Lead <br />Driver positions for the COLTS System <br />
