V <br />Bioh h0 mF f`c d <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve bonds as recommended by the County Attorney. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown. Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal. Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board that the next order of business was <br />for the Board to consider and vote on board appointments for the upcoming year. He <br />stated that North Carolina General Statutes delegate the Board of Commissioners <br />involvement in appointments to a select group of boards such as the Mental Health <br />Board, Social Services Board, and the Board of Health. Chairman Hincks told the Board <br />he was appointing Commissioner Stevens to serve on the Mental Health Board. <br />Commissioner Lemmond nominated Commissioner Reives. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />For Commissioner Reives: Brown, Lemmond, and Reives <br />For Commissioner Stevens: Adams. Hincks, Paschal, and Stevens <br />The Chairman ruled the motion for Commissioner Reives to serve on the Mental <br />Health Board had failed with a four to three vote and Commissioner Stevens will be the <br />Lee County Board of Commissioner's representative on the Lee-Harnett Mental Health <br />Authority Board. <br />Commissioner Reives stated that he was not resisting the vote but was asking for <br />clarification as to why he is being removed from the Mental Health Authority Board. He <br />asked that a formal examination of the records be conducted. <br />Chairman Hincks told the Board he was appointing Commissioner Brown to serve <br />on the Social Services Board. No other nominations were presented. Upon a vote, the <br />results for Commissioner Brown to serve on the Social Services Board were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />Commissioner Brown will be the Lee County Board of Commissioners representative on <br />the Social Services Board. <br />Chainnan Hincks told the Board he was appointing Commissioner Stevens to <br />serve on the Board of Health. No other nominations were presented. Upon a vote, the <br />results for Commissioner Stevens to serve on the Board of Health were as follows: <br />3 <br />
