RESOLUTION <br />Travel Policv for County Manager <br />WHEREAS, regular required travel outside of Lee County for official business is <br />routinely required of the County Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, it is customary that out of town travel may involve the purchase of <br />meals in the course of business: and <br />WHEREAS, the current. Lee County Travel Policy does not provide the <br />flexibility to accommodate all situations where the County Manager may procure meals: <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County Manager is entrusted, to a greater degree than general <br />employees, with responsibility of managing county funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the following shall apply to travel for <br />the County Manager: <br />1. All out of town travel expenses of the County Manager from this day <br />forward shall no longer be subject to the Lee County Travel Policy but <br />shall be accountable to and approved by the Chairman of the Board of <br />Commissioners, and <br />2. Any out of state travel approved by the Chairman of the Board of <br />Commissioners shall be subject to the same policy applicable to <br />County Commissioners as adopted on June 5, 2000. <br />Adopted this the 15th day of November 2004. <br />Herber, A.
