O.i A; PAb'E <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NOR- H CAROLINA <br />NOVEMBER 15. 2004 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams. Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />J County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered changes to the agenda. Commissioner Lemmond asked <br />that he be excused from voting on specified items on the Tax Releases and Refunds for <br />October 2004 due to personal interest. Chairman Hincks stated that the report from the <br />Board of Election's office would be given at the December meeting. Mr. Hincks also <br />stated that the request from The Lee County Arts and Community Center, Inc. would be <br />pulled from the agenda. Commissioner Stevens moved to approve the amended agenda. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Flincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the following consent agenda items <br />as amended: <br />• Minutes from the October II, 2004, regular meeting and September 20, <br />2004, closed session meeting <br />• Donation of surplus Hurst extraction tool items to Benhaven Emergency <br />Services in exchange for a $2,500 donation to the Lee County Specialty <br />Rescue Team <br />
