Facc r; <br />(b) Warrants materials to be of the quality required by the specifications described in the work <br />write-up. <br />(c) All alterations or deviations from the specifications of labor or material involving changes in <br />costs must be authorized in writing by a Change Order approved by the Lee County <br />Community Development Office. <br />(d) In all cases he shall leave the work in a finished condition as determined by acceptable <br />building standards and the Lee County Community Development Office. <br />(e) That all his employees shall be covered fully by Workmen's Compensation Insurance as <br />required by State law. <br />(f) He will furnish evidence of comprehensive liability coverage protecting the owner in the <br />event of bodily injury including death, $300,000 each person; and in the event of property <br />damage arising out of work performed by said Contractor, $100,000 each accident. <br />2. The Owner has agreed in the formal application: <br />(a) That he will permit the Contractor to use, at no extra costs, existing utilities, such as light, <br />heat, power and water necessary to carrying out the completion of the work. <br />(b) He will cooperate with the Contractor to facilitate the performance of the work, including the <br />removal and replacement of rugs, coverings, and furniture, if necessary. <br />3. The bid and proposal shall be accepted or rejected by the Lee County Community Development <br />Office within sixty (60) days from the date a bid is received, provided that no work shall be <br />commenced by the Contractor until he has received a written Proceed Order from the Lee County <br />Community Development Office. <br />4. Legal Remedies Provision: Work shall begin no later than ten (10) days after the Proceed Order is <br />issued. All work shall be satisfactorily completed within the time frame specified in the Proceed <br />Order. It is further agreed that if the proposed improvements are not complete within the specified <br />number of days, the Lee County Community Development Office shall have the option to withhold the <br />sum of $50 (Fifty dollars and no/100's ) per day as liquidated damages from the total contract price. <br />5. The work will be warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of final inspection of all work <br />required by the Contract. Furthermore, the Contractor will furnish the Lee County Community <br />Development Office with all manufacturers and suppliers written guarantees and warranties covering <br />materials and equipment furnished under this Contract. <br />6. The Contractor will permit the Lee County Community Development Office or its designee to examine <br />and inspect all rehabilitation work. <br />7. The occupant household will not be relocated during the rehabilitation work unless it is deemed <br />necessary by the Lee County Community Development Office. <br />8. The Contract consists of the work write-up, the general conditions and specifications and/or drawings <br />for work to be done for the specific property involved which by this reference are incorporated herein <br />and made a part of this agreement. <br />WORK CONTRACT <br />
