i <br />OK © P4E 5 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />SEPTEMBER 20, 2004 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Goverment Center, 106 Flillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams. Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />J Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Matthews delivered the invocation and led the pledge of <br />allegiance. <br />The Board considered agenda changes and additions. Various Commissioners <br />asked that the following items be added or amended concerning the agenda: <br />• Removed Item 11. L. I from the agenda (contract between the County of <br />Lee and Central Carolina Hospital for Jail Health Operations) <br />• Update on countywide revaluation process <br />• Conduct closed session after Water District meeting <br />• Discussion on spay/neuter policy <br />• Discussion on Mental Health issues <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the above additions and changes to the <br />agenda. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the following consent agenda items as <br />amended: <br />• Minutes from the August 23, 2004, regular meeting <br />• Resolution to proclaim September 24, 2004, as Fletcher Rosser Day (copy <br />attached) <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for August 2004 (copy attached) <br />
