Box 3729, Sanford, NC 27331 <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />This Intcrlocal Agreement entered into on August 27, 2004 by and between the City of <br />Sanford, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the City, and the Lee County <br />Board of <br />Education, a body corporate, hereinafter referred to as the School Board, and the County <br />of Lee, one of the counties of the State of North Carolina, and a body both politic and <br />corporate, hereinafter referred to as the County; <br />WITNESSETH: <br />Whereas, the City, School Board, and County are units of Local Government and are <br />authorized to enter into agreements with each other to execute undertakings by Part I of <br />Article 20, Chapter 160A of the General Statutes of North Carolina: and <br />Whereas, the County has acquired a site which is leased to the School Board for the <br />construction of the Southern Lee High School and which will be conveyed to the School <br />Board when the indebtedness on the property is retired; and <br />Whereas the County is constructing a sanitary sewer line to serve said property which <br />will become the property of the City who will operate and maintain said line; and <br />
