UVn 9 e• ~J <br />9 PACE J <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County <br />that the document entitled "Lee County, North Carolina Capital <br />Improvements Program, Fiscal Year 2004/2005-2008/2009" which <br />consist of a one-page Project Classification System, three-page Summary <br />index and a sixty-four page Capital Improvements Program is hereby <br />approved and adopted as the official Capital Improvements Program <br />for Lee County for the period from July 1, 2004, until June 30, 2009. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board at this time reviewed department Capital Outlay reductions. After <br />some discussion, Commissioner Matthews moved that the County serve notice to the City <br />of Sanford informing them that Lee County wishes to re-negotiate the joint Vehicle <br />Maintenance Agreement. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed a request from the Board of Education to increase the <br />monthly salary for Board of Education members. County Attorney K. R. Floyle told the <br />Board that according to N.C. General Statute § 115C-38 the Board of Commissioners are <br />allowed to set the salary for members of the Board of Education. Commissioner Stevens <br />moved to approve a resolution to increase the Chairman of the Board of Education's <br />salary to $400.00 per month and members to $350.00 per month, a copy of which is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Flineks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to reduce Central Carolina Community College's <br />Current Expense by $27.860 for FY 2004-05. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />4 <br />
