%co ~9 PacF 839 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />APRIL 5. 2004 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive. Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />J Matthews joined the meeting later. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle <br />asked that during the Closed Session, the Board instruct the County Manager and staff <br />concerning the position to be taken on behalf of the county in acquiring the easement for <br />a sewer line leading to the new high school on the Godfrey property. Commissioner <br />Lemmond moved to approve the agenda as printed with the above addition. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the Consent Agenda, which consisted <br />of the following items: <br />• Minutes from the March 15, 2004, regular meeting <br />• Minutes from the March 26, 2004, special meeting <br />• Revised Resolution of recognition for Chief Deputy Ronnie Currin (copy <br />attached) <br />• Resolution for Spring Roadside "Lit/er Sweep" (copy attached) <br />• Home and Community Care Block Grant for Senior Services <br />
