Commissioner Sharpe moved to approved the Revised Memorandum of Agreement between Lee County Schools and the Lee County Health Department, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The Board next considered a request from the Health Department to approve the 613 Ebola Preparedness and Response Agreement Addendum Rev#2 in the amount of $6,077. Health Director Heath Cain stated the Agreement Addendum Revision #2 provides additional funding enabling the Local Health Department to document progress in Zika preparedness by completing the Zika preparedness checklist provided by Public Health Preparedness and Response (PHP&R). This agreement was approved by the Board of Health on January 18, 2017. Health Director Heath Cain stated that the Health Department in cooperation with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension will provide a food safety training program geared toward food service employees in the local area. The objective is to reestablish a food safety program in the community and build upon industry and community relations. Funding has also been awarded for registration and lodging expenses to attend the FDA National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards Self -Assessment and Verification Audit Workshop and the 2017 NEHA Annual Education Conference, both are strategic trainings that will increase knowledge of Program Standards. This was approved by the Board of Health on January 18, 2017. Commissioner Knecht moved to approve the request to accept Association of Food and Drug Officials Grant Funding. County Manager John Crumpton stated that Todd Baker is a Commercial Market Leader employed by Capital Bank. While he works in Lee County and maintains a Sanford residential address, his actual County of residence is Harnett County. Due to the need for representation from an individual employed in banking, Mr. Baker is well qualified to serve on the Revolving Loan Committee.
