0 Paco' 19 Pic; 751 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />FEBRUARY 2, 2004 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />J Matthews was absent due to an out-of-town doctor's appointment. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items, which consisted of the following <br />additions: <br />• Chairman Hincks asked that Randy Musser, US Nuclear Regulatory <br />Commission, Senior Resident Inspector with the Shearon Harris Nuclear <br />Power Plant be allowed to address the Board <br />• Commissioner Stevens asked that Health Director Mike Hanes be allowed <br />to give an update on the Mid-Wife Program at the Health Department <br />• Commissioner Lemmond asked that the Board discuss the weekend jail <br />break and security issues at the jail <br />• Commissioner Reives asked that the Board discuss a recent water report <br />from the Timmons Group and that he be allowed to give an update on a <br />recent mental health meeting <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the agenda as printed with the above additions. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenmrond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
