Lee Society of Lee County to fly the First <br />National Confederate Flag at the Lee County Courthouse on January 19, <br />2004 <br />o Approval to fill vacant Social Worker III position in the Foster Care Unit <br />(Social Services) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenunond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered several 2001 delinquent real estate foreclosure taxes that <br />were not approved at the last meeting. Tax Administrator Kep Kepley was asked at the <br />last meeting to research these delinquent taxes and report his findings to the Board. Mr. <br />Kepley reported to the Board his findings on the following parcels of land: <br />Branch Banking & Trust <br />Greater Hope Pentecostal Ministry <br />Sanford Lee County Regional Airport <br />Secretary of Housing & Urban Development <br />The Chase Manhattan Bank <br />The Virginia Sledd Revocable <br />White Oak Church <br />Sold to new owner <br />Vacant land - no application on file <br />Solid waste fee <br />Sold to new owner <br />Sold to new owner <br />Vacant land <br />Solid waste fee <br />After some discussion, Commissioner Matthews moved to approve all of the above 2001 <br />delinquent real estate foreclosure properties except Greater Hope Pentecostal Ministry <br />and White Oak Church. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: Adams and Stevens <br />The Chainman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. <br />Commissioner Matthews asked Mr. Kepley to contact Greater Hope Pentecostal Ministry <br />and find out why they had not filed an application for the vacant land and White Oak <br />Church to find out who disposes of their solid waste, and report back to the Board at the <br />next meeting. <br />The Board considered a late list penalty for Thomas Kent Yarborough. Tax <br />Administrator Kep Kepley told the Board that Mr. Yarborough had requested a refund of <br />56.33 for the penalty portion of his 2003 tax bill. Mr. Kepley stated that Mr. <br />
