Minter, Assistant County Manager/Finance Director <br />REQUEST: Approval of Budget Amendment #02/06/17/09 <br />067 <br />SUMMARY: Budget Amendment #02/06/17/09 appropriates funds for the following <br />departments: <br />Health -Maternal — To appropriate $1,199 in additional funds awarded by <br />the State to be used for medical/educational supplies. <br />Health -Environmental — To appropriate $4,690 received from the AFDO <br />Grant. <br />Sheriff — Appropriating $10,000 in contributions to supplement the <br />purchase of body cameras for officers. <br />Social Services — To appropriate revenues and expenditures in the <br />amount of $104,500 for Medicaid DMA Transportation. When the budget <br />was prepared, it was anticipated that transportation providers would be <br />direct billing through NC Tracks in early 2017. Our entry into the new <br />system has been delayed; therefore, we need to increase funds to cover <br />the transportation expenses for the remainder of the year. No County <br />dollars are involved. <br />Senior Services — To appropriate $4,248 received from the 2017 SHIP <br />Grant. <br />Sheriff - Drug Seizure Funds — To appropriate $2,000 received from <br />State Drug Seizure funds to purchase workout equipment, and to <br />appropriate $37,000 received from the Federal Treasury Drug Seizure <br />funds to purchase a vehicle and to cover part of the body camera costs. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: See above <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Budget Amendment #02/06/17/09 <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Budget Amendment #02/06/17/09 <br />
