Chair Dalrymple opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. No one present spoke in favor or in opposition to the proposed project. Chair Dalrymple closed the public hearing. Mr. Joyce presented and discussed the fourth hearing for "Project Sandman." Mr. Joyce stated "Project Sandman" consists of the construction of a facility and the purchase of equipment in the amount of $56.5 million and the hiring of 46 new employees over the 5 -year life of the project. The Board intends to consider investing up to $638,783 of the cost of the project with revenues from the County's General Fund. The original public hearing for this project was held at the December 19, 2016 Board of Commissioners Meeting. The Board intends to consider investing up to $27,944 of the cost of the project with revenues from the County's General Fund. The original public hearing for this project was held at the December 19, 2016 Board of Commissioners Meeting. The Board intends to consider investing up to $606,188 of the cost of the project with revenues from the County's General Fund.
