is approximately $272,091.96. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Post -65 Retiree Health <br />Insurance Renewal Plan as presented. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager John Crumpton requested the selection of a Voting Delegate for the 2017 <br />Legislative Goals Conference. Mr. Crumpton stated the conference is scheduled for January 12- <br />13, 2017 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley in Wake County. Commissioner Sloan nominated <br />Commissioner Dalrymple as the Voting Delegate for the Conference. Upon vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Lisa Minter, Finance Director presented Budget Amendment #12/05/16/07 for the Board's <br />consideration. Ms. Minter stated that $42,000.00 will be appropriated from the General Fund <br />balance to maintain Low Wealth Funding for Lee County Schools. The funding was approved at <br />the November 21, 2016 Board of Commissioners' meeting. Commissioner Reives moved to <br />approve Budget Amendment #12/05/16/07 for Lee County Schools as presented, a copy of which <br />is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None. <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented an update on the following CCCC projects: <br />Dennis A Wicker Center Addition and Renovation, New Emergency Services Training Building, <br />New Health Sciences Buildings, CCCC Interior Renovations, and the New Veterinary Medical <br />Technology Building. Bud Marchant, CCCC President, introduced Taylor Hobbs from Hobbs <br />Architects, who provided additional information on the above referenced projects. The Emergency <br />Services Training Center was bid on October 19, 2016 and awarded to Sanford Contractors. The <br />Veterinary Medical Technology Building was bid last week and is scheduled to be awarded on <br />December 8, 2016 to Rafanelli Construction of Apex, North Carolina. Commissioner Dalrymple <br />asked the Board to consider options for moving Kelly Drive. She recommended the Board approve <br />sending a letter to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Marchant stated that as <br />enrollment continues to grow, pedestrian traffic across Kelly Drive is becoming an increasing <br />concern. Commissioner Sloan moved to contact NC DOT and send a letter of support to move <br />Kelly Drive using the safest possible design.
