Option 2: Stationary Bulkhead Installation.
Assessment Stage:
Testing and evaluation of the existing shell and decking at the area where the bulkhead would
be located would be required to confirm it is stable and in good repair to support the bulkhead.
New Work:
This would entail the installation of a stainless steel bulkhead that would be welded together
and fastened to the existing shell. It would consist of PVC grating exterior that is fastened to the
SS frame. This grating would allow the current hydraulics to remain and operate as they are.
The bulkhead would be located in the center of the pool at the existing 5' depth. The bulkhead
would be 4 feet in width with starting block anchors mounted inside the frame.
Schedule: From owner notice to proceed: 3 -months manufacture time of the bulkhead.
Installation process 2 X weeks.
Estimated cost for option 2: $80 to 100k
Option 3: Movable Bulkhead Installation.
Assessment Stage:
Testing and evaluation of the existing shell and decking at the area where the bulkhead would
be located would be required to confirm it is stable and in good repair to support the bulkhead.
New Work:
This would entail the installation of a stainless steel bulkhead that would be movable. This grating
would allow the current hydraulics to remain and operate as they are. The bulkhead would be
located in the center of the pool at the existing 5' depth.
