F. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: December 5, 2016 Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Approval to accept National Association of County and City Health <br />Officials (NACCHO) Grant Funding <br />DEPARTMENT SECTION <br />CONTACT PERSON: <br />Health <br />Heath Cain, Health Director <br />REQUEST: The Board is asked to approve acceptance of additional grant <br />funding in the amount of $4,280.66 to aid in the completion of policy development projects to <br />enhance conformance with the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. <br />SUMMARY: Lee County Environmental Health is undertaking a 5 -year FDA <br />training development program to develop and integrate the 9 FDA Standards of the Voluntary <br />National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards into our policies and procedures. This year, <br />Lee County Environmental Health will be a mentee matched with the Oakland County Health <br />Division (MI), who will be providing guidance on Standard 2. This grant will allow one of our staff to <br />work to become standardized in the FDA Food Code.
