County <br />Attorney Whitney Parrish stated that at the November 7 I meeting of the Board of mmissioners, a <br />request was made by Commissioner Frazier, for this item to be placed on the A da for discussion. <br />The Library Board of Directors wish to change Sec. 14-41 as it relates to the ntment of the chief <br />librarian. The Library Board does not feel they have the time or experti in ling with Library <br />personnel issues and wish this to fall under the direction of the County M ager. s noted since <br />this will be an amendment to the Ordinance it will require two readings, wit 'this bein sidered as <br />the first reading. A couple of minor changes were recommended to the Resolution will be <br />changed for the final reading. Commissioner Knecht moved to ve the proposed solution to <br />Amend the Lee County Code of Ordinances Concerning th ee County Library, with referenced <br />changes, as the first reading and schedule a second readin d pull hearing for the December 5, <br />2016, Commissioners meeting. Finance <br />Director Lisa Minter presented a power point rega ng the ounty's finances for the fiscal year ended <br />June 30, 2016. Mr. Hill from Thompson, Price, Sc� Adams & Co. was present and stated the County <br />received a clean audit with no f' Ings. No action w"ken. <br />�' " <br />Commissioner R ' s arri during the above presentation at 4:26 p.m. <br />The Board discuss the Board of Education (BOE) or Low Wealth Funding. <br />County Manager John Crum and Finance Director Lisa Minter discussed a request where local <br />Boards of Education qualify fo alth funding from the State based on a complicated formula <br />which takesNdison, <br />g into co eration. Superintendent Andy Bryan notified the County of an <br />issue threductio in funding to the BOE funding in the amount of $2.4 million in FY <br />2017- AfteCommissioner Reives moved to approve $42,000 in additional funding to <br />the ountyor the above referenced request.
