September 6, 2016
027
Mr. William Heath Cain
Health Director
Lee County
Sanford, NC 27330
Dear Mr. Cain,
It is time to renew my contract as Lee County's Pharmacist Manager. It has been 3 years since
the last letter I sent your predecessor requesting an increase in salary. Now, as then, I can say
that I greatly enjoy my work here at the Health Department and working with the staff.
This letter is similar to the last in that I find myself spending more and more time at the Health
Department to satisfy the growing obligations of this position. I have the 340B requirements of
perpetual inventories of all usage by drug, strength, NDC number, lot number and expiration
date. Now, I also need to generate a CAP Report on all discrepancies to the tablet detailing the
discrepancy, what caused it, how I corrected it, and how I will correct any further discrepancies
in the future. As you can imagine, all the paperwork generated by the 340B regulations and CAP
Reports is very time consuming. We have also recently added Narcan Nasal Spray Kits to our
inventory which requires new training, a new inventory book, a new log book and new labels.
Considering the years since my last raise and the greater amount of time I spend working at the
Health Department I am asking for an increase in salary from $600 a month to $800 a month.
Thank you for your consideration. Please contact me if you have any questions.
P
erely yours,
/ / &--j
Ralph" Kim" Allen, RPh.
812 Hayden Ave.
Sanford, NC 27330
919-721-4256
