H. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: November 7, 2016 _ Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Amendment to Health Department Pharmacy Contract <br />DEPARTMENT: Health <br />CONTACT PERSON: Heath Cain <br />026 <br />REQUEST: The Board of Commissioners is asked to approve an additional $200 <br />per month for our pharmacist, effective January 2017. <br />SUMMARY: With the growing obligations of this position, Mr. Ralph "Kim" Allen, <br />R.Ph is requesting an additional $200 per month to provide pharmacy <br />services to the health department. Those services are mentioned <br />within the attachment. His current salary is $600 per month. This <br />request, if approved, would begin January 2017 and Mr. Allen's new <br />salary would be $800 per month. The Board of Health approved this <br />action 10/19/2016. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: Increased revenue (approximately $26,000) will come from one-time <br />cost settlement funding from the State to build each jurisdiction's <br />Electronic Health Record program. The health department should <br />receive this funding the week of October 24, 2016. Increased <br />expense of $1200 will come from this one-time cost settlement <br />funding. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Letter from Mr. Kim Allen dated September 6, 2016 requesting an <br />increase is salary. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve amendment to Health Department Pharmacy contract as <br />presented <br />
