Hidden Lake Property Owners Association, Inc. <br />1371-A Carolina Dr., Sanford, NC 27332 022 <br />From: Board of Directors <br />Date: October 19, 2016 <br />To: Hidden Lake Property Owners <br />Subject: 2016 Annual Meeting: Thursday November 17 at Carolina Trace Country Club at 7PM <br />Greetings to Hidden Lake Property Owners, <br />The Annual Meeting of the Hidden Lake Property Owners Association will be held on Thursday, <br />November 17 at the Carolina Trace Country Club beginning at 7PM. At this meeting, property owners will <br />hear reports from, and have the opportunity to ask questions of, the Directors and will be asked to vote on 3 <br />matters: <br />➢ The election of two members for the Board of Directors <br />➢ An assessment increase of $15 for developed and undeveloped lots recommended by the Board <br />of Directors due to a CTA assessment increase of $34 for developed lots and $40 for <br />undeveloped lots in 2017 <br />➢ One proposed Bylaws change <br />All Hidden Lake Property owners are welcome to attend this meeting. However, only property owners in <br />good standing (no outstanding assessments or fines) are eligible to vote A property owner may vote in person or <br />by proxy. Most property owners have completed a form designating the Proxy Trustee to cast their vote, as set out <br />in the Bylaws, if they don't attend the meeting. (If you are a new property owner and have not yet filled out this <br />form, one is attached.) A property owner who wishes to designate someone other than the Proxy Trustee to cast <br />his/her vote must obtain a proxy form from the POA, fill it out, have it notarized and return it to the POA no later <br />than November 10. You may obtain a proxy form by emailing Proxy Trustee Pat Aylies (saylies281 @gmail.com). <br />A corporation, partnership or other entity which owns property in Hidden Lake must submit to the <br />Secretary, in writing, at least seven (7) days prior to the Annual Meeting the name of the person to whom it <br />designates the right to cast its votes at the meeting. The designation must be notarized and signed by a person with <br />authority to make the designation. Failure to make this designation will result in the corporation, partnership or <br />other entity not being able to cast votes at the meeting.
