A. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: October 17, 2016 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Offer to Purchase 128-132 Steele Street Property <br />DEPARTMENT: Administration / Legal <br />CONTACT PERSON: Whitney Parrish, County Attorney <br />REQUEST: Consider offer to purchase above referenced county owned <br />property. <br />SUMMARY: At the October 3rd meeting of the Board, an offer from Brandon <br />Atkins, on behalf of Taboys Corporation, was accepted to purchase county owned property located <br />at 128-132 Steele Street in the amount of $10,000.00. The Board accepted the offer and began the <br />upset bid process. The Notice of Offer to Purchase property was in the October 5' Sanford Herald. <br />As of Agenda distribution time (10/12) no further offers to purchase have been received. At the <br />October 17th meeting the County Attorney will present any additional offers received or ask the <br />Board to accept the offer from Mr. Atkins and proceed with documents to sell the property <br />BUDGET IMPACT: <br />ATTACHMENT(S): October 5, 2016 Sanford Herald notice. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: See summary above. <br />RECOMMENDATION: If no other offers are presented, accept offer from Mr. Brandon <br />Atkins in the amount of $10,000.00 for said property and begin final paperwork. If additional offers <br />are received, consider those and continue with the upset bid process. <br />
