No <br />action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for September 2016, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented for the Boards' consideration a Change Order for a <br />30 -day extension to the contract for the new San Lee Nature Center. The request is due to the impact <br />of delivery of steel for the project. After discussion, Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Change <br />Order #1 with Construction Systems, Inc. for the San Lee Park Nature Center, a copy of which is <br />attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to go into Closed Session to consider a personnel matter per N.C. <br />General Statute §143-318.11(a) (6). Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was in Closed <br />Session. Upon returning from Closed Session, with all members present except Commissioner Reives, <br />the regular meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to accept the retirement resignation of Clerk to the Board Gaynell <br />Lee, effective January 1, 2017, and directed staff to advertise for said vacancy. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn the <br />meeting.
