BUCK 43 [Au624 <br />• Annual support/purchase agreement with Tyler Technologies for Tax and Finance <br />MUNIS software (copy attached); <br />• Grant application for FY 2010111 Seniors Health Insurance Information (SHIIP); <br />• Budget Amendment # 8/16/10/02 (copy attached); <br />• Proposal from ECOFLO, Inc. for the 2010 Household Hazardous Waste Collection day <br />scheduled for October 16, 2010 at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for July 2010 (copy attached); <br />• Proclamation for the Fall Litter Sweep (copy attached); <br />• Application for State Aid to Public Libraries (copy attached), <br />• Changes to the Lee County Travel Policy, and <br />• Annual contracts with Triangle South Workforce Development Board <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />No one signed up to speak during the Public Comments section of the meeting. <br />Ms. Patricia Witt from Soroptimist International of Raleigh, North Carolina, completed the <br />required paperwork to appear before the Board and discuss a seminar her organization is co- <br />sponsoring with Triangle J Council of Governments on "Fighting the Crime of Human Trafficking". <br />Commissioners were invited to attend a workshop on September 1, 2010 in Raleigh on the above <br />referenced topic. No action was taken on the matter. <br />At this time the Board conducted a public hearing to consider the acceptance of the Rural <br />Operating Assistance Program (ROAP). Senior Services Director Debbie Davidson outlined the grant <br />application for the following funding levels that have been allocated to Lee County in the amount of <br />$191,279.00: <br />• Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance - $79,020.00 with no matching funds <br />required. These funds will assist clients of Lee County Senior Services, Lee County <br />Industries, The Center for Independent Living, Dialysis patients, and other elderly or <br />disabled Lee County residents with needed transportation services. <br />• Employment Funds - $19,428.00 with no matching funds required. These funds assist <br />Department of Social Services Work First clients, Workforce Development programs or <br />other citizens in need of employment transportation. <br />• Rural General Public - $92,831.00 with a minimum match required - 10% fare charged <br />to passengers. These funds will be used to transport the general public for various <br />transit needs. Fare rates will vary depending on pick-up and destination point of service. <br />Chairman Hayes opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />Ms. Davidson, on behalf of Lee County Senior Services, spoke in favor of the grant application. <br />No one present spoke in opposition to the grant application. <br />Chairman Hayes closed the public hearing. <br />2 <br />
