01') <br />3) The County can put in place a community development grant program that would <br />place criteria on applicants to show need based on demographical data of the need <br />for the filters and install the filters. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated another non-profit (501(c)3 organization had contacted <br />him that might be interested in disbursing the funds but that board doesn't meet again before our next <br />Commissioners meeting on September 19th. After discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to adopt <br />Option #2 and instructed staff to try and locate another non-profit organization 501(c)3 to administer the <br />funds donated ($6,100) and proceed with placing water filters in the remaining 17 homes identified with <br />water quality issues. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to go into Closed Session to discuss matters relating to the <br />location or expansion of a business in the area per North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a) (4). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was in Closed <br />Session. Upon returning from Closed Session, with all members present, Chair Dalrymple called the <br />regular meeting back to order. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Reives moved to adjourn the <br />meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 7:12 <br />p.m <br />ATTEST: <br />Gaynell M.
