Vehicular traffic at this
location has increased by 3,000 vpd at this location since the development of the most
recent school in this area (SanLee Middle School) in 2006. Since 2011, there has been an
upward trend in the volume of traffic of at least 1,000 vpd. It reasonable to assume that the
volume of traffic will continue to increase at this location as this area continues to develop
and as this roadway continues to be the main corridor from the Tramway area to the Old
Jonesboro area. At this time, staff has received one rezoning request and one inquiry
regarding the conversion of existing single-family homes in the immediate area into
commercial businesses.
