BK:00028 PG:0298 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br />OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, a request to amend the Official Zoning Map has been received from Charles <br />Brown to rezone from Highway Commercial Conditional Use (HC -CU) district to Residential <br />Agricultural (RA) district a 4.44± acre tract located at 304 Country Estates Drive. The property <br />is the same as depicted on Lee County Tax Map 9644.01, Tax Parcel 9623-22-8897, Lee County <br />Land Records. The property is also the same as Tract 1 on a survey map for Charles Brown <br />recorded in Plat Cabinet 9, Slide 77B, Lee County Registry of Deeds; and <br />WHEREAS, said request has been presented to the Lee County Planning Board; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners conducted a public hearing on May 16, <br />2016 to receive citizen input on the requested zoning map amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners approves the request to amend the <br />Official Zoning Map of Lee County, North Carolina; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS: <br />The Official Zoning Map is hereby amended to rezone Lee County Tax Parcel 9623-22-8897 <br />from Highway Commercial Conditional Use (HC -CU) district to Residential Agricultural (RA) <br />district. See attached map for reference. <br />In making this decision, the Board of Commissioners hereby finds that while the 2020 Land Use <br />Plan did not specify a particular land use for this property, the request appears to be reasonable <br />and in the public interest based on information from the staff analysis and the public hearing, and <br />that the proposed residential district is consistent with the existing land uses in the area. <br />this the IP'_ <br />Danielle Mahoney, <br />day of 2016. <br />Amy M.
