C. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: June 20, 2016 _ Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: 2016 Tier II Grant from NC Department of Public Safety <br />DEPARTMENT: Lee County Office of Emergency Services <br />CONTACT PERSON: Shane Seagroves, 919.718.4670 <br />REQUEST: Authorize Approval of the 2016 Tier II Grant, and authorize the <br />County Manager to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) <br />SUMMARY: Lee County Emergency Services has been awarded a 2016 Tier II <br />Grant from the N.C. Department of Public Safety through North Carolina Emergency <br />Management, in the amount of $1,000.00. Grant funds are provided from hazardous materials <br />facility filing fees collected during the 2015 Tier II reporting period (January 1 — March 1, 2016). <br />These funds are allotted to the County of Lee Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) for <br />hazardous materials emergency response planning, training, and related exercises. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: <br />N/A <br />2016 Tier II Grant Award Notification and MOA <br />No <br />N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the 2016 Tier II Grant and authorize the County Manager <br />to sign required documents <br />
